Following another successful season of basketball in East Kent, players and league officials gathered at the end of season awards evening.

Team awards for the 2016/2017 season were as follows:

  • EKBL Men's Division Champions: Ashford Outlaws.
  • EKBL Men's Division Runners Up: University of Kent A.
  • EKBL Women's Division Champions: Canterbury Crusaders.
  • EKBL Women's Division Runners Up: Christ Church University.
  • Adrian Cook Cup Winners: Christ Church University.
  • Adrian Cook Cup Runners Up: Whitstable.
  • Adams Plate Winners: Ashford Outlaws
  • Adams Plate Runners Up: Thanet Lions
  • Grove Cup Winners: Canterbury Crusaders
  • Grove Cup Runners Up: Christ Church University.
  • Grove Cup 3rd Place: Herne Bay
  • Grove Cup 4th Place: Folkestone Saints

Individual awards for the 2016/2017 season were as follows:

  • EKBL Men's MVP: Jake Murphy (Ashford Outlaws)
  • EKBL Women's MVP: Zita Mendes (Canterbury Christ Church University)
  • Adrian Cook Cup final MVP: Erik Kucinskas (Canterbury Christ Church University)
